FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Osteopathy is a manual medicine which consists to rebalance the body and maintaining homeostasis.
This medicine takes care of fix the skeletal, myofacial and articular structures.

Osteopathy can concern any type of patient: from children to the old person, including athletic
person or pregnant women.

In general, it’ s important to see an osteopath twice by year to prevent pain. Indeed, daily life causes
unbalances which, if not treated, will lead to pain later.

Most often, patients see an osteopath when the pain is already here, in which case it’ s important to
consult before the pain is too severe. If we wait too long, the treatment will be unconfortable for the
patient and difficult for the osteopath who will ask to come back several times to completely remove
the pain.

A typical consultation begins with the anamnesis where several questions are asked to the patient to
know the reason of the consultation. After an observation and several tests on the body, a diagnosis
is made. Then when i had exposed and explained the diagnosis and the tensions to the patient, a
treatment will be carried out over one or more sessions depending on the dysfunctions found on the
body.

With my studies and the training learned in parallel, I can adapt to all types of patients. I use
structural, fascial, visceral, cranial techniques while trying to be as painless and not intrusive as
possible for the patient. My sessions are often long (about an hour), which allows me to clearly
identify the pain and take the time to release the tensions in the body.
